. You may eat any animal that has a split hoof completely divided and that chews the cud. And the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you.In respect to this,Does the New Testament say that you can eat pork?
The short answer is “yes.” While there are many solid New Testament references that make this very clear, the most astonishing, clear reference that Christians can eat pork is actually in the Old Testament. It’s a clear, bold honest answer hidden in plain sight.
Just so,Where does the Bible say you can eat pork?
The Bible says it’s both OK and not OK to eat pork. However it’s not a contradiction. In the Old Testament God told Moses, “the pig, though it has a split hoof completely divided, does not chew the cud; it is unclean for you. You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you.” (Leviticus 11:7-8)
Beside above,Why is pork forbidden in the Bible?
Pork or rare meat was forbidden in the Bible, because for a simple hygienic reasons from long ago times when especially in the South, in hot countries and the desert you had no cooling or a veterinarian who told you the pork was healthy and free of any parasites. But some religions have made an iron law out of it.
Why did God forbid eating pork?
God forbade His people to eat pork in the Old Testament because it was harmful to the human body . And that fact doesnt change just because we are living in the time of the New Testament. Pork is still harmful to the human body, as is all of the unclean meats.
